• Fixed Monthly Charge - Home ADSL services are fixed price, regardless of your download volumes. If your download quota is exceeded, shaping of traffic is applied at 64 kilobits per second. There is a maximum 'shaped excess' allowance of 3 Gbytes - additional access constraints may be applied beyond this amount.
• No Long Term Contracts - Just a $65 early cancellation charge during the first twelve months.
• Expert Help Desk - Internode provides free, expert and friendly Help Desk support available to you 7 days a week.

• Security Protection - Internode protects Home ADSL customers by filtering ports which are generally used to propagate network worms and attacks. You are welcome to disable that protection via an online web page if you wish.
• Dynamic IP Address - These are 'Layer 2' dynamic IP services, suitable for home broadband access. If you need static IP addressing to host servers, we recommend our SOHO and Business ADSL services.
• No Upload Surcharge - All upload direction data is free of charge, and doesn't count against your monthly quota.
• No Peak / Off Peak Limitations - Internode has no Peak or Off-Peak timezones - use the service how and when you want to.
• No Regional Surcharge - We're into equality, so the same prices apply for any area we cover, metro or regional.
• Your Choice of Hardware - Bring your own ADSL router, or buy one pre-configured from us at a competitive rate. All routers supplied by Internode are pre-configured with your Internode username, password and settings; and include a quality ADSL filter/splitter and 24 months fast replacement warranty.

Limitations

• No resale of bandwidth - Home ADSL services provide access for personal and immediate family use only.
• No static IP addresses are available - Use our SOHO or Business ADSL services if a static IP address is required.
• Internode services are non-refundable.
• Conditions may change - If service conditions are changed in the future, customers will be permitted to cease using the service without penalty if the new conditions are not accepted.
• Definitions (in accordance with Australian ISP conventions):
  • 1 MB or 1 Mbyte is 1 Megabyte = 1,000,000 bytes.
    
  • 1 GB or 1 Gbyte is 1 Gigabyte - 1 Gigabyte is equal to 1,000 Megabytes.
    

ADSL Account Application Notes

When you apply for ADSL, you should be aware of certain obligations and conditions once the order form is received by Internode.

Please be aware that when you sign the application form you are signing to say that you accept and agree to be bound by the Internode Standard Form of Agreement, ADSL Service Specifications and (if applicable) Naked ADSL2+ Service Schedule documents - these documents are available here. Please call us if you would like any help interpreting these documents.

The ADSL Early Cancellation Charge

Internode ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus and Extreme® ADSL2+ services are normally provisioned within 7-10 business days, and Naked ADSL2+ services are normally provisioned within 10-30 business days. All services are activated by Internode no later that 7 days thereafter, at which time Internode will commence billing.

Customers wishing to terminate their ADSL service with Internode prior to the end of the first twelve months from activation date are liable to pay an early cancellation charge of $65.

Automatic ADSL Service Cancellations

Please be aware that your Internode ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus or Extreme® ADSL2+ service will be automatically cancelled by Telstra and a new ADSL service will need to be ordered by you (including a new $129 Activation fee) in the following circumstances:

• If your telephone account is cancelled.
• If you order an ADSL-incompatible product on the telephone line the ADSL is delivered on.

We strongly advise that you contact our Sales department to discuss any pending changes to your phone service prior to making those changes. These issues do not affect Naked ADSL2+ services.

If you plan to move premises - even if you are taking the same number with you - you'll need to use our online relocation process. This ensures a smooth transition and reduced establishment charge of $99.

Billing & Notifications

Tax invoices, Internode Bulletins and automated data usage warning messages are sent to your Internode email address. Please refer to the configuration sheet (supplied when your service is activated) for details of your Internode email address. You can automatically forward these emails to a preferred email account if required, via our online Email Management system.

Please note that the first monthly service charge, plus activation fee and hardware charges, must be paid in full before Internode can activate the service.

Posting of paper invoices is available but discouraged for environmental reasons, and if requested will attract a $1.50 surcharge per invoice. Surcharges also apply to payments made by credit card - full details on this and our other payment options are available here.

Extreme® ADSL2+ Plans

• The maximum possible speed of an Extreme® ADSL2+ service will depend on a number of factors. These include the length and quality of the phone line that links your premises to your local telephone exchange, and the type of ADSL modem or router that you are using.
• A description of these factors is available on this page, as well as a graph that provides an indication of of theoretical maximum speed at various line lengths.
• The ADSL modem or router that you use on an Extreme® ADSL2+ service will affect the maximum possible speed as follows:
  • ADSL2+ Modem/Router - 24000/1000 kbps
  • ADSL2 Modem/Router - 12000/1000 kbps
  • ADSL1 Modem/Router - 8000/1000 kbps (many older ADSL modems and routers are ADSL1 only)
• All routers sold by Internode are ADSL2+ capable - further details are available here.
• The minimum speed of an Extreme® ADSL2+ service is 1500/256 kbps. Internode does not guarantee that customers who select Extreme® ADSL2+ will be able to obtain the maximum speed of 24000/1000 kbps.

NakedExtreme ADSL2+ Plans

• The maximum possible speed of a NakedExtreme ADSL2+ service will depend on a number of factors, as listed above for Extreme ADSL+ plans. A description of these factors is available on this page, as well as a graph that provides an indication of of theoretical maximum speed at various line lengths.
• The ADSL modem or router that you use on a NakedExtreme ADSL2+ service will affect the maximum possible speed, as listed above for Extreme ADSL2+ plans. All routers sold by Internode are ADSL2+ capable - further details are available here.

• No distance limits apply to NakedExtreme ADSL2+. At extremely long distances, the ADSL connection speed is significantly reduced. Internode does not guarantee that customers who select NakedExtreme ADSL2+ will be able to obtain the maximum speed of 24000/1000 kbps.

Naked ADSL2+ Plans

• The maximum possible speed of a Naked ADSL2+ service will depend on a number of factors. These include the length and quality of the copper pair that links your premises to your local telephone exchange, and the type of ADSL modem or router that you are using.
• A description of these factors is available on this page, as well as a graph that provides an indication of theoretical maximum speed at various line lengths. When reviewing this graph please note the maximum speed possible on Naked ADSL2+ is 20 Mbps - the 24 Mbps maximum speed is only available on Extreme® ADSL2+.
• The ADSL modem or router that you use on a Naked ADSL2+ service will affect the maximum possible speed as follows:
  • ADSL2+ Modem/Router - 20000/820 kbps
  • ADSL2 Modem/Router - 12000/820 kbps
  • ADSL1 Modem/Router - 8000/820 kbps (many older ADSL modems and routers are ADSL1 only)
• All routers sold by Internode are ADSL2+ capable - further details are available here.
• Internode does not guarantee that customers who select Naked ADSL2+ will be able to obtain the maximum theoretical speed of 20000/820 kbps.

ADSL Plus

• The maximum possible speed of an ADSL Plus service is 8000/384 kbps.
• This speed is dependent on a number of factors, including the length and quality of the phone line that links your premises to your local telephone exchange. A description of these factors is available on this page.
• The minimum speed of an ADSL Plus service is 1500/256 kbps. Internode does not guarantee that customers who select ADSL Plus will be able to obtain the maximum speed of 8000/384 kbps.
