Easy Naked is Internode's most popular range of naked ADSL plans. Key features of the current generation of Easy Naked plans include:
Naked ADSL services are delivered over a copper pair, but without the need for you to rent a telephone service. As well as saving you money, this also means that in many cases ADSL can be delivered at a greater distance from the local exchange.
And now, the new 'Business Pack' option makes Easy Naked the ideal business broadband solution!
The new Easy Naked plans are now bundled with a NodePhone VoIP service, which includes $10 call credit every month. This means that if you have one of the new Easy Naked plans, you can select a NodePhone2-Special plan - with $10 of included calls at no additional charge!
Read on for how to take advantage of this new offer:
Naturally you can select any other NodePhone plan if desired, or use another VoIP service (the $10 credit only applies to NodePhone2-Special of course!), or not use VoIP at all - it's your choice!
The maximum possible speed of an Easy Naked service will depend on a number of factors. These include whether you are connected via an Agile DSLAM or an Optus Wholesale DSLAM, the length and quality of the copper pair that links your premises to your local telephone exchange, and the type of ADSL modem or router that you are using.
A description of these factors is available on this page, as well as a graph that provides an indication of theoretical maximum speed at various line lengths.
When referring to this information please note:
The ADSL modem or router that you use on an Easy Naked service will affect the maximum possible speed—and ADSL2+ capable modem/router is required for the higher speeds. Many older modem/routers are capable of ADSL1 only, and these will be limited to a maximum theoretical download speed of 8 Mbps. All routers sold by Internode are ADSL2+ capable—further details are available here.
Internode does not guarantee that customers who select the Easy Naked plans will be able to obtain the maximum theoretical speeds. Furthermore, there is no guaranteed minimum line synchronisation speed or data transfer rate—upload or download—on this service.
We've designed Easy Naked with the Business Pack option to deliver greater value than our previous Business Naked ADSL plans. In particular, Easy Naked with a Business Pack supersedes Business NakedExtreme and Business NakedUltra plans, which are no longer available for sale.
These are the key differences between Internode Easy Naked with a Business Pack and previous Internode Business Naked ADSL plans:
Importantly, static IP addressing; priority support; and unshaped excess continue to be delivered on Easy Naked with a Business pack.
Yes, in certain circumstances. Specifically, we offer 'number porting' of qualified Telstra-based phone numbers into NodePhone VoIP when 'Convert Active Telephone Service' to an Easy Naked service is chosen during the signup process, and where the service will be delivered via an Agile DSLAM.
Easy Naked services that will be delivered via an Optus Wholesale DSLAM cannot port their phone number to NodePhone at this time.
You can check how much quota you've used by logging into My Internode from the Internode homepage using your Internode username and password. Once you've logged in, click on "ADSL Usage & Stats" in the "My Services" column.
If you go over your monthly quota on an Easy Naked plan with the Business Pack option, excess charges apply at a rate of 0.5 cents per Mbyte downloaded. Your service is not 'excess shaped' by Internode at any stage.
These excess charges are capped to a maximum of $299 per month. Please note that Data Blocks are not available with the Business Pack option.
Everything else about the Easy Naked plan with a Business Pack is the same as—or better than—Internode's previous Business Naked ADSL plans:
A good rule of thumb when trying to figure out whether Easy Naked with a Business Pack supports a given feature of an Internode Business Naked ADSL plan is: if it isn't mentioned as being different... it's the same!
Easy Naked sizes S, M and L are delivered via either an Agile DSLAM port or an Optus DSLAM port. Note however that 1000 GB Easy Naked plans are delivered via an Agile DSLAM port only; and only where that DSLAM has sufficient backhaul capacity.
You can check for the availability of Easy Naked services in your area by entering your phone number in our Online Coverage Checker.
Easy Naked services will be delivered if there is a suitable DSLAM with free ports in your local exchange, and there is a direct copper path—within acceptable transmission limits—to it.
Internode Easy Naked plans are available wherever you can get a direct copper path connection to an Internode or Optus DSLAM, with the following specific exceptions:
These exchanges do not currently offer the Easy Naked 1000 GB plan, due to backhaul limitations.
Furthermore, Agile DSLAM in the following exchanges do not offer Easy Naked plans at all:
Easy Naked services are not available in the above areas due to the high cost of unbundled local loop in these regions.
Please note that this is a dynamic list and at times we may reach a point where we can no longer support very high quota plans in a given area. If we reach that point, we may automatically migrate existing Easy Naked services to a lower quota plan (and lower the ongoing price accordingly). If you disagree with this change, you may request the cancellation of your service with no early termination charge being applied.
Yes you can! A complimentary range of Easy Broadband and Easy Bundle plans are also available.
Please refer to our payments page for information on how you can pay Internode.
No—if you are already have an Internode Naked ADSL service (NakedExtreme via an Agile DSLAM or NakedUltra via an Optus Wholesale DSLAM), then it is simply an online plan change to Easy Naked. You can change plans to Easy Naked without any once-off charges, and without any effect on your existing contract term with Internode.
Internode Easy Naked services delivered via an Agile DSLAM have online access to the full range of ADSL line profiles, in order to optimise their connection if required.
Easy Naked services delivered via an Optus Wholesale DSLAM can request to be changed to the following line profiles:
