Act now to enable your business with Internode Extreme SHDSL!
We understand the increasing reliance of your business on your Internet connection. The ‘net has become embedded in most of your key processes, from customer interaction to supplier orders and staff payroll. And so Extreme SHDSL features Priority Business Access to our expert Help Desk, seven days a week. You'll also receive a 99.5% Service Level Agreement with defined performance and availability targets.
But at Internode, high availability isn’t just about getting through to skilled & local support teams quickly, or receiving a credit if it all goes horribly wrong - although these things are good too! We’ve also designed the Extreme SHDSL platform to simply be reliable - with fully integrated, market-leading and carrier-grade Hatteras Networks equipment end-to-end. Each head-end is housed in the high availability environment of a Telstra exchange, backed by uninterruptible power supplies, diesel generators, N+1 environmental control systems and comprehensive security systems. In turn the head-ends use diverse path optical fibre to connect you to Internode’s International IP network, with multiple upstream and peering Internet connections in Australia, the US and Asia.
Finally there’s the neat trick of bonded services, used in all Extreme SHDSL deployments of 10 Mbps and above. Even if one copper pair experiences a fault, the service continues – uninterrupted – on the remaining copper pairs, albeit at a slower speed. This inherent last mile redundancy is unique to bonded services and is unmatched even on more expensive optical fibre and leased line systems.

Service options and charges
The Extreme SHDSL Establishment charge
includes the installation of transmission infrastructure and fully
maintained Network Termination Unit. The service is presented to your
equipment as an Ethernet interface - there is no requirement for you
to provide SHDSL transmission equipment.
The SHDSL Establishment charge varies with the speed of the service - $1,500 for a 5 Mbps service; $2,000 for a 10 Mbps service; $2,500 for a 20 Mbps service and $3,000 for a 40 Mbps service.
These prices apply to 12 month contracts - and are reduced by 50% on a 24 month contract.
A relocation of an Internode
Extreme SHDSL service can be performed if the new location is within Extreme SHDSL
coverage, and if you recommit to a new 12 month contract term at the new location.
There is no charge to change your Internet usage plan; and this can be requested at any time - including during your initial contract term.
Speed upgrades - for example, from 10 Mbps to 20 Mbps - are $500 per incremental speed increase.
Speed downgrades are $500 per change.
These changes do not affect your contract term, and can be requested at any time including during your initial contract.
There are no excess usage charges on Unlimited plans.
On all other plans, excess downloads (beyond your monthly quota) are 1 cent per Mbyte. There is no charge for uploads unless, in a month, the upload : download ratio exceeds 5:1. If this occurs then all data uploads for the month will be charged at 1 cent per Mbyte, in addition to the normal data download charge.
Limitations
- Data downloads in excess of the monthly Download Inclusion are charged at $0.01 per additional Mbyte; except on the Unlimited plans.

Minimum Contract Term
A minimum contract term of 12 months applies to all Extreme SHDSL services, with the option of discounted installation on a 24 month contract term.

Billing & Notifications
Tax invoices, Internode Bulletins and other notifications are sent to your nominated email address. Please note that the first monthly service charge, plus establishment and hardware charges (if any), must be paid in full before Internode can activate the service.
Posting of paper invoices is available but discouraged for environmental reasons, and if requested will attract a $1.50 surcharge per invoice. Surcharges also apply to payments made by credit card - full details on this and our other payment options are available here.
The minimum site requirements for this service are a safe, clean and secure environment with a 240V 10A AC General Purpose Outlet; and sufficient physical space for an active component of general dimensions 300 mm wide x 200 mm deep x 100 mm high. These site requirements are the responsibility of the customer.
We recommend that the 240V AC GPO is connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to ensure high service availability.
