Business Phone Number Port

This service ports your business 100 number range(s) to a NodePhone VoIP Business Trunk, and may cancel your business phone line and any other services associated with the phone line.

When would I use a Business Phone Number Port?

If you have an 100 number range associated with for example your ISDN service and would like to move to a VoIP base solution and all the benefits of a NodePhone Business Trunk.

You will need to ensure that you have an appropriate Internet service and SIP Trunk capable hardware. Most business customers will require the services of a trusted, competent voice/data systems integrator to achieve an optimal outcome.

Business Phone Number Porting availability

Business Number Porting is generally available within the call zones of Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney. Coverage is also available for all of South Australia, Tasmania and Australian Capital Territory. We are also continually expanding our coverage for porting, to confirm if your number range(s) are portable contact Internode Business Sales or call 13 6633.

Porting is generally available from Telstra, Optus and Primus (including Telstra, Optus or Primus based resellers) telephone numbers. If your service is with another service provider it can still be worth checking whether you can port your number. Most common service providers offer Telstra or Optus based services.

Important Notes about Business Phone Number Porting

• This type of port may cancel your phone line and any 'enhancements'.
• It may also result in finalisation of accounts for these services from your current provider(s).
• Do not cancel your existing phone service—that will happen automatically when the porting is complete. In fact, if you cancel your phone service first, the port order will fail!
• Standard porting hours are 9:00am–3:00pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time, ie NSW time), business days.
• A porting setup fee of $480 per 100 number range applies during standard hours and:
  • $25 per month; per 100 number range.
  • Rejection and reversal fees may apply.
• Extended porting hours are 7:00am–9:00am and 3:00pm–6:00pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time, ie NSW time), business days, and are available on request. Extended porting hours setup fee is $880 per 100 number range.
• Once the port of your numbers has completed, you will need VoIP-capable PBX hardware and Internode broadband Internet access to receive and make NodePhone VoIP calls.
• We always recommend that once the port of your number is completed, that you verify that all appropriate services and accounts have been cancelled.

Other Fees

We are highly dependent on receiving the correct information from you and will cross check as thoroughly as possible. However the final conformation comes from your current provider, and we are charged each time we present them with incorrect information. Below are other fees that may be incurred:

Rejections

These can happen when incorrect information has been supplied to us by you. The most common occurrences are:

• The supplied account number not match the number range.
  - $20 per submission made by Internode.

To stop this happening make sure that you supply us with your summary pages from a current account. Note that if your provider is re-billing, you must obtain the re-billers wholesale account number.

• The number range has not been specified correctly (i.e. it is part of
  a larger block of numbers)
  - $80 per submission made by Internode.

Ensure that you are porting all related numbers to the range provided and that the range provided is not part of a larger range you have.

Reversals

We will only proceed with a reversal of a port on your request; these are very rare, generally happening in the following cases and incur the following charges:

• Cancelling a port request less than 3 hours before the scheduled cut over time, or
• Once porting has occurred there is a 4 hour window when numbers can be immediately returned to the original provider. Generally is caused by your equipment not being ready.
• The Emergency reversal fee is $2,200 per 100 number range.
