December 2010 NodeMobile Plan Changes
On 1st December 2010 Internode released a major overhaul of its NodeMobile Data 3G wireless broadband service. This included a trebling of data quotas for both the entry-level and the top end plans!

The setup options for NodeMobile Data are the same, however the price of the premium Huawei modem (the E1762) has been reduced:
24 Month Contract ($99 early cancellation charge)
- $0 for the basic modem - Huawei E160E - with a SIM
- $20 for the premium modem - Huawei E1762 - with a SIM (this was previously $50)
- $249 for the MiFi portable 3G/WiFi router with a SIM
1 Month Contract (no early cancellation charge)
- $10 for just a SIM or Micro-SIM
- $99 for the basic modem - Huawei E160E - with a SIM
- $119 for the premium modem - Huawei E1762 - with a SIM (this was previously $149)
- $349 for the MiFi portable 3G/WiFi router
Other Changes
- Data Block pricing has changed. Data Blocks are an option for 'ad-hoc' quota top-ups. From 1st of December, NodeMobile data blocks have been simplified to just one option - 500 MB for $19.95.
- A Plan Change Charge. Internode has introduced a $10 plan change charge for NodeMobile Data. This reflects a new wholesale cost that we incur for plan changes.
- Internode has quadrupled the capacity of interconnections between the Internode and Optus networks, further improving NodeMobile Data performance, especially during periods of peak demand.
Existing Customers Benefit Automatically!
On 1st December 2010 all existing NodeMobile customers received either an automatic quota boost on their existing plans; or a free upgrade to one of the improved value plans. A notification of this upgrade has already been sent to these customers.
These improvements to existing services are automatic, and are being provided without any additional charges or contract commitments.
