Easy Bundle is an Internode phone and broadband solution, leveraging the Optus Wholesale access network to extend the benefits of 'Easy Broadband plus NodeLine' to even more people. It delivers a complete package:
Simply put, Easy Bundle delivers a high-speed broadband service over a copper pair, complete with a traditional 'landline' phone service, in a fixed bundle. The implications of this are:
The maximum possible speed of an Easy Bundle service will depend on a number of factors. These include the length and quality of the copper pair that links your premises to your local telephone exchange, and the type of ADSL modem or router that you are using.
A description of these factors is available on this page, as well as a graph that provides an indication of theoretical maximum speed at various line lengths. When reviewing this graph please note the maximum speed possible on Easy Bundle is 20 Mbps - the 24 Mbps maximum speed is only available on services delivered via the Internode broadband network, such as Easy Broadband.
The ADSL modem or router that you use on an Easy Bundle service will affect the maximum possible speed as follows:
All routers sold by Internode are ADSL2+ capable - further details are available here.
Internode does not guarantee that customers who select the Easy Bundle plans will be able to obtain the maximum theoretical speed of 20000/820 kbps. Furthermore, there is no guaranteed minimum line synchronisation speed or data transfer rate - upload or download - on this service.
Yes - Internode Easy Bundle includes a conventional analog telephone service, which will work with a standard telephone handset - this isn't voice-over-IP. It also works just fine with fax machines and analog modems, as well as monitored alarms - it's traditional dial tone.
You can make calls in exactly the same way as you do on a traditional phone service, no special equipment required.
We've designed Easy Bundle to deliver greater value than our previous Home ADSL plans. In particular, Easy Bundle supersedes the Home UltraBundle plans, which are no longer available for sale.
These are the key differences between Internode Easy Bundle and previous Internode Home UltraBundle plans:
You can check how much quota you've used by logging into My Internode from the Internode homepage using your Internode username and password. Once you've logged in, click on "ADSL Usage & Stats" in the "My Services" column.
If you go over your monthly quota on an Easy Bundle plan, your connection is slowed to 256 kbps for the rest of your month.
There are no excess quota fees. However if desired, you can purchase a Data Block to top up your monthly quota on demand.
Select the Power Pack option if you prefer even faster excess shaping of 512 kbps download (with the option of Data Blocks); or select the Business Pack options if you prefer excess usage charges with no shaping (Data Blocks are not available with this option).
Everything else about the Easy Bundle plan is the same as Internode's previous Home UltraBundle plans:
A good rule of thumb when trying to figure out whether Easy Bundle supports a given feature of an Internode Home UltraBundle plan is: if it isn't mentioned as being different... it's the same!
Internet enthusiasts and business customers have slightly different requirements of their broadband service; and these are addressed via the Power Pack and Business Pack options.
Please note that you can only choose one (or neither) of these options - a service cannot have both types of Option Packs at the same time.
Internet enthusiasts - who may have previously selected a SOHO UltraBundle plan - can simply add a Power Pack option to their Easy Bundle plan. The Power pack option is $10 per month, and adds the following features:
You can request your subdomain name via a support request. Please note that existing Internode SOHO ADSL customers that are plan changing to Easy Bundle with a Power Pack can retain their '.soho.on.net' subdomain if they would prefer (in fact, both subdomains will work).
The needs of business customers are addressed by adding a Business Pack option to the Easy plan. The Business pack option is $30 per month, and adds the following features:
You can request your subdomain name or IP subnet via a support request. Please note that existing Internode Business ADSL customers that are plan changing to Easy Bundle with a Business Pack will retain their current '.on.net' subdomain and any associated IP subnet.
You can check for the availability of Easy Bundle services in your area by entering your phone number or address into our Online Coverage Checker.
Easy Bundle services will be delivered if there is a suitable DSLAM with free ports in your local exchange, and you have a direct copper path - within acceptable transmission limits - to it.
Yes you can! A complimentary range of Internode Easy Naked plans are also available.
Please refer to our payments page for information on how you can pay Internode.
No - if you are already connected to an Optus Wholesale DSLAM (for example you are currently on an Ultra, UltraLine or UltraBundle plan), then it is simply an online plan change to Easy Bundle. You can change plans to Easy Bundle without any once-off charges, and without any effect on your existing contract term with Internode.
The following line profiles are available on Easy Bundle; and also on Easy Naked services delivered via an Optus Wholesale DSLAM port.
A line profile change may assist in troubleshooting:
Simply submit a support request by clicking here; or call 13 NODE (13 6633) and select Technical Support (option 1).
At Internode, we're constantly working on improving our products. Here's a history of how Internode Easy Bundle has developed over time.
Easy Bundle was launched on 30th September 2010, with a 'T-Shirt' range of quotas and monthly prices. In essence, Easy Bundle represented an update to the earlier 'UltraBundle' range of plans.
On 8th February 2011, the Power Pack and Business Pack options were made available on all current Easy Bundle plans.
On 5th July 2011, the Easy Bundle 'T-Shirt' plans were replaced with a simplified range - 30 GB, 200 GB and 300 GB. The charge for plan changes to lower priced plans was also removed on this day; and this charge no longer applies to either the current or the previous 'T-Shirt' plans.
Most recently, on 1st March 2012, new Easy Bundle plans were introduced with quota points of 30 GB (unchanged), 60 GB (new option) and 300 GB (reduced in price by $10).
The following table outlines the basic handset features available on your Easy Bundle telephone service. For full information, including instructions on Call Waiting, Three Way Call, and other advanced functions, please see the Easy Bundle Feature Codes guide.
