It's time to get easy broadband with Internode!
Service options and charges
You have two choices when setting up Internode Easy Broadband - a monthly rolling contract with no long term commitment or early cancellation charges; or reduced setup charges and a 24 month contract.
How much your setup costs depends on the type of ADSL that you currently have, if any:
Plan Change to Internode Easy Broadband
If you already have Internode ADSL Standard, Plus, TwoPlus or Extreme ADSL2+, you can simply plan change to Easy Broadband - no charge!
Churn to Internode Easy Broadband
If you currently have ADSL with another provider and it can be 'churned' via Telstra Fast Transfer to Internode Easy Broadband (on a Telstra port), then your setup charge will be:
- $39 on a monthly contract; or
- $0 on a 24 month contract.
Transfer to Internode Easy Broadband
If you currently have ADSL with another provider and it can be 'single service transferred' to Internode Easy Broadband (on an Agile port), then your setup charge will be:
- $129 on a monthly contract; or
- $79 on a 24 month contract.
Setup a New Internode Easy Broadband
If you do not currently have ADSL on your telephone line, then your setup charge will be:
- $129 on a monthly contract; or
- $79 on a 24 month contract.
The 24 Month Contract
If you cancel your service during the initial 24 month period, you are liable for an early cancellation charge. This charge is $120 in the first 12 months, reducing to $65 during the second 12 months. Full details on the 24 month contract are available here.
More Information
Please refer to the Transfer page for more info on establishing your service; or contact us if you need any assistance.
The minimum speed supplied for Internode Easy Broadband is 1.5 megabits per second - ie '1500/256k'. Full-throttle ADSL2+ speeds - up to a maximum of 24 megabits per second ('24/1M') - are provided wherever Internode-direct ADSL2+ coverage is available.
Speed choices are not available with Easy Broadband : we simply offer a fast broadband service, delivering speeds in the range of 1500/256k to 24/1M. As Internode builds more DSLAMs, customers will be automatically migrated to ADSL2+ speeds where possible.
Easy Broadband on a Telstra Wholesale DSLAM
If your Easy Broadband service is delivered by a Telstra Wholesale DSLAM port, you will be at the 1500/256 kbps speed. This means that your peak download speed is 1,500 kilobits per second (or 1.5 Megabits per second), and your peak upload speed is 256 kilobits per second.
Easy Broadband on an Agile DSLAM
If your Easy Broadband service is delivered via an Internode (Agile) DSLAM port, your maximum possible speed is up to an incredible 24/1 Mbps - however your actual speed will depend on a number of factors. These include the length and quality of the phone line that links your premises to your local telephone exchange, and the type of ADSL modem or router that you are using.
A description of these factors is available on this page, as well as a graph that provides an indication of theoretical maximum speed at various line lengths.
The Speed Range
The minimum speed of an Internode Easy Broadband service is 1500/256 kbps. Internode does not guarantee that customers who select the Easy Broadband plan will be able to obtain the maximum theoretical speed of 24000/1000 kbps.
GST
All quoted pricing includes GST.
Limitations
- No resale of bandwidth - Internode Easy Broadband services provide access for personal and immediate family use only.

- 1 MB or 1 Mbyte is 1 Megabyte = 1,000,000 bytes.
- 1 GB or 1 Gbyte is 1 Gigabyte - 1 Gigabyte is equal to 1,000 Megabytes.
ADSL Account Application Notes
When you apply for Internode Easy Broadband, you should be aware of certain obligations and conditions once the order form is received by Internode.
Please be aware that when you sign the application form you are signing to say that you accept and agree to be bound by the Internode Standard Form of Agreement and ADSL Service Specification documents - these documents are available here. Please call us if you would like any help interpreting these documents.
The Internode ADSL Contract
When you signup for Internode Easy Broadband, you can either:
- have a reduced setup fee, with an early cancellation charge ($120 in the first year, $65 in the second year) if you cancel within the first 24 months; or
- pay the full setup fee, and have a rolling one month contract with no early cancellation charges.
Full details on the 24 month contract option are available here.
Automatic ADSL Service Cancellations
Please be aware that your Internode Easy Broadband service will be automatically cancelled by Telstra and a new ADSL service will need to be ordered by you (including a new $129 Activation fee) in the following circumstances:
- If your telephone account is cancelled.
- If you order an ADSL-incompatible product on the telephone line the ADSL is delivered on.
We strongly advise that you contact our Sales department to discuss any pending changes to your phone service prior to making those changes.
ADSL Relocations
If you plan to move premises - even if you are taking the same number with you - you'll need to use our online relocation process. This ensures a smooth transition, and gives you the choice of:
- no ADSL relocation fee, and a new 24 month contract; or
- a $99 relocation fee, with any existing contract term carried across to your new premises.
Further details on ADSL relocations are available here.
Billing & Notifications
Tax invoices, Internode Bulletins and automated data usage warning messages are sent to your Internode email address. Please refer to the configuration sheet (supplied when your service is activated) for details of your Internode email address. You can automatically forward these emails to a preferred email account if required, via our online Email Management system.
As per the Internode Standard Form of Agreement, payment is required in advance. You will be required to pay the setup fee and any equipment costs (if applicable) and the first monthly fee upon provisioning of your service. Billing will begin within 7 days of the service being provisioned by our carrier, or earlier if you have registered a successful login.
Broadband services are non-refundable, however no charges apply until the service is confirmed as deliverable by our carrier.
Posting of paper invoices is available but discouraged for environmental reasons, and if requested will attract a $1.50 surcharge per invoice. Surcharges also apply to payments made by credit card - full details on this and our other payment options are available here.
