Service options and charges
If you already have a home phone service : Transfer Free (normally $39.00)
Most home phone services can be transferred to NodeLine as a simple 'churn'; however a small percentage use a different method called a 'port'. These are both currently free for a limited time.
Further details on churns and ports are available on the Transfer page.
If you don't already have a phone service : from $59.00
This cost will vary with your specific situation - ranging from $59 for a simple 'in-place' connection, $125 if a technician visit is required, or $299 if cabling is required or there's never been a phone there before. Additional charges apply for cabling beyond the first socket, trenching or complex installations.
Further details on setting up a new NodeLine service are available on the Transfer page.
Rental
The monthly rental of a NodeLine service is $29.95.
Call Charges
Call Charges on NodeLine are very competitive : 18 cent untimed local calls, 15 cents per minute for long distance (no flagfall), 29 cents per minute to a mobile (no flagfall either). Even international is as low as 15 cents per minute (15 cent flagfall) to most popular destinations.
Timed calls - national, international and calls to mobiles - are charged to the nearest second, with a one minute minimum charge. Full details are available on the Call Rates page.
Other Charges
Options available for your NodeLine service include:
- Silent Number or Suppressed Address : $4 per month (or part thereof)
- Voicemail : $6 per month (or part thereof)
- Caller ID Presentaton : $6 per month (or part thereof)
There is also a range of useful features included with every NodeLine service, with no additional monthly charge. If you use these features - for example Call Back Busy - then a small usage charge (35 cents in this case) applies. Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions page for more details.
If you pre-select your long distance calls to another carrier, a surcharge of $5 per month is applied to your NodeLine service.
GST
All quoted pricing includes GST.
Limitations
- Residential premises only - NodeLine services are, at present, only available in residential premises. An equivalent service for business customers is under development, and expected to be launched later in 2009.
- Priority Assistance is not available - NodeLine does not support 'Priority Assistance', a facility that is available from some other phone service providers if there is a person with a life-threatening illness at the premises. Do not order a NodeLine service if you require Priority Assistance.
- No Access to 190 Premium Numbers - more a feature than a limitation, please be aware that 190 premium rate numbers cannot be called from a NodeLine service.
- Conditions may change - if service conditions are changed in the future, customers will be permitted to cease using the service without penalty if the new conditions are not accepted.
NodeLine Account Application Notes
When you apply for Internode NodeLine, you should be aware of certain obligations and conditions once the order form is received by Internode.
Please be aware that when you sign the application form you are signing to say that you accept and agree to be bound by the Internode Standard Form of Agreement and Internode NodeLine Service Schedule documents. Please call us if you would like any help interpreting these documents.
Billing & Notifications
Tax invoices, Internode Bulletins and other messages from Internode are sent to your Internode email address. Please refer to the configuration sheet (supplied when your service is activated) for details of your Internode email address. You can automatically forward these emails to a preferred email account if required, via our online Email Management system.
As per the Internode Standard Form of Agreement, payment is required in advance. You will be required to pay the setup fee and any equipment costs (if applicable) and the first monthly fee upon provisioning of your service. Billing will commence upon activation of the service.
NodeLine services are non-refundable, however no charges apply until the service is confirmed as deliverable by our carrier.
Posting of paper invoices is available but discouraged for environmental reasons, and if requested will attract a $1.50 surcharge per invoice. Surcharges also apply to payments made by credit card - view more details on this and our other payment options.
Miscellaneous Charges
When you apply for Internode NodeLine, you accept and agree to be bound by the Internode Standard Form of Agreement and Internode NodeLine Service Schedule documents. Please call us if you would like any help interpreting these documents.
There's no early cancellation charge for most NodeLine customers.
The only time an early cancellation charge applies is if you are 'porting' your number into the Telstra network from another network. This is fairly uncommon - most numbers are already on the Telstra network, and hence can simply be 'churned'. You might not know if transferring your existing phone service to NodeLine is a 'port' or a 'churn' - so don't worry about it.
In the (fairly rare) case that transferring an existing phone service to NodeLine involves a 'port', we'll hold the order and contact you. You'll need to confirm that you're OK with an early cancellation charge of $250 being applicable in the first 12 months; or alternatively you can cancel your order at this point, without penalty. This is fully explained in the Transfer page.
There's no bundling commitment.
This is simply a standard telephone service which can, if you like, also carry an Internode ADSL service (except a naked one!). Naturally we'd love you to be using Internode ADSL as well as NodeLine - but you're certainly not obliged to.
