Wireless DSL Account Application Notes
When you apply for Wireless DSL, you should be aware of certain
obligations and conditions once the order form is received by Internode.
Please be aware that when you sign the application form you are
signing to say that you accept and agree to be bound by the Internode Standard
Form of Agreement - these documents are available here. Please call us if you would like any help interpreting these documents.
The Wireless DSL Early Cancellation Fee
Customers wishing to terminate their Wireless DSL service with
Internode prior to the end of the first six months from activation date
are liable to pay an early cancellation fee of $65.
Billing & Notifications
Tax invoices, Internode Bulletins and automated data usage warning
messages are sent to your Internode email address. Please refer to the
configuration sheet (supplied when your service is activated) for
details of your Internode email address. You can automatically forward
these emails to a preferred email account if required, via our online
Email Management system.
As per the Internode Standard Form of Agreement, payment is required in advance. You will be required to pay the setup fee and any equipment costs (if applicable) and the first monthly fee upon provisioning of your service. Billing will begun within 7 days of the service being provisioned by our carrier, or earlier if you have registered a sucessful login.
Broadband services are non-refundable, however no charges apply until the service is confirmed as deliverable by our carrier.
Posting of paper invoices is
available but discouraged for environmental reasons, and if requested
will attract a $1.50 surcharge per invoice. Surcharges also apply to payments made by credit card - full details on this and our other payment options are available here.
Please note that the Wireless DSL network design does involve a
degree of contention, and it is in the nature of radio links that
throughput will vary with atmospheric conditions. Hence all stated
bandwidths are theoretical maximum only, and - while we will make our
best endeavours - these bandwidths cannot be 100% guaranteed.
Extreme plans on Wireless DSL have maximum speed limits that are a
function of wireless technology and wireless radio cell capacity, and
in particular the peak speeds do not match those available on Extreme
ADSL2+ services. Maximum available speeds on Wireless DSL are
currently:
- 2 Mbps / 512 kbps on Canopy wireless systems;
- 6 Mbps / 512 kbps on WiMAX wireless systems.
While there is a degree of inherent security in the newer Wireless
DSL Access Points, it is always our recommendation to customers using
wireless systems that it is your responsibility to protect (encrypt)
your information if it is of a private, confidential or sensitive
nature.
