These devices do not have a built-in ADSL modem - they are Ethernet routers. Hence, these are an appropriate choice if your Internet access is delivered as Ethernet (for example on our regional Wireless DSL networks).
Alternatively, if you already have a one-port ADSL router, the Billion 6404 can be used as an analogue telephone adapter - with two voice ports and one lifeline port - and also provides three additional Ethernet switch ports, and (optionally) a wireless access point.
