Internode's NodeLine service is a traditional home telephone service. It's delivered over the copper access network - you simply plug a telephone into it, and make calls. It's not voice-over-IP, and it's not a mobile: it's a traditional analogue telephone service.
Most Internode customers (unless they're on a naked service) are already renting a similar service from another telecommunications provider. Many of our ADSL products - including Easy Broadband and Easy Reach - are delivered over the same copper pair.
Now, you can transfer your phone service across to Internode - and enjoy the great call rates and convenience of one bill for your home broadband and telephone line.
It's very likely that you can - NodeLine is delivered via the Telstra Fixed Line network, which has 'universal' availability across Australia.
It's a great network to leverage for coverage of course - but don't worry, that doesn't mean you'll get a bill from Telstra!
You can obtain NodeLine via a simple online ordering process - either by converting an existing home phone service, or ordering a new service connection. Please read through the detailed information about these options on our Transfer page.
Certainly - the two services are independent of each other. It's quite common to have both:
As well as retaining your current phone number on the highly reliable NodeLine landline phone service; you can add a virtual second phone line with great value call rates via NodePhone VoIP.
We recommend the Gigaset C610 IP DECT phone system as a great way to combine the two services, and enjoy the best of both worlds. Another option is an integrated VoIP router such as the FRITZ!Box or Billion 7404VNPX.
If you already have a home phone service, it costs $39 to transfer it to NodeLine. And the good news is - this charge is currently waived!
If you don't, then a new NodeLine service can be established - with setup charges ranging from $59 to $299, depending on your specific circumstances. There's even the option of ordering your NodeLine service as 'ADSL Compatible'. This is covered in more detail on the Transfer page.
There is then a monthly rental charge of $29.95 on the NodeLine Home Value plan, plus any calls you make or value-added services you select:
If you have the previous NodeLine residential plan (HomePlus - $34.95 with $5 included calls per month); and would like to change to the current NodeLine residential plan (Home Value - $29.95 with no included calls); simply submit a support request.
There is no charge for this plan change; nor is there any change to your current NodeLine contractual arrangement or bundling benefit.
