They are billed monthly in arrears on your broadband account; and must be consumed within the current month - i.e. they do not roll over to the following month.

How Do Mobile Data Blocks Work?
You have a choice of monthly quotas with NodeMobile Data - ranging from 1.5 GB per month, all the way up to 18 GB per month. As you use your mobile broadband connection, you'll use up this quota - and when you've used 70% of your quota, we'll send you an email and SMS to let you know.
You can keep on surfing of course, and when you've used 90% of your quota you'll get another email and text message advising you of your usage.
Carry on using your NodeMobile Data service and when you've used all of your quota, you'll be placed in a 'captive portal' - where all you can do is to choose whether you want to buy a mobile data block - i.e. obtain more quota for the month - or not.
What Happens If I Don't Buy A Data Block?
Nothing at all - but you won't be able to use your NodeMobile Data service until your monthly roll-over date, when your monthly quota is automatically renewed.
The important point is that the costs for usage are completely under your control - we've designed this to avoid the 'bill shock' of automatic 'per Mbyte excess usage' charges on most other 3G services.
When Can I Buy A Data Block?
You can buy a Data Block at any time during the month - either when you receive the 70% or 90% notification messages; or when you're in the captive portal after using all of your quota; or at any other time - your choice.
Is There An Alternative to Data Blocks?
A Data Block is effectively an 'ad hoc' additional download allowance that is added to your monthly base quota for that month only. If you find that you do this often, it may be more cost-effective to schedule a plan change to the higher download quota plan, and this will happen on your next billing date.
Are Data Blocks Instant?
Not quite - typically they take up to 60 minutes to take effect. They can take longer between 2:00 am and 6:00 am, for technical reasons.
When Do I Get Charged For Data Blocks?
Charges for Data Blocks are added to your account 'monthly in arrears' - so they'll appear on your next bill.
Do Data Blocks Rollover to the Next Month?
No, they do not. Just like your included monthly download quota, it's a 'use it or lose it' arrangement.
