This guide will step you through setting up Internode email on an Apple iPhone 4.

Step 1

• Open Settings.
• Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Step 2

• Select Add Account...

Step 3

• Select Other.

Step 4

• Select Add Mail Account.

Step 5

Enter your account information.

• Name: Enter your given name or business name—this is how your name appears when people receive email from you.
• Address: Enter your Internode email address, e.g., username@internode.on.net
• Password: Enter your Internode password.
• Description: Create a description for the account, e.g., Internode Mail. This helps you identify this account if you have more than one email address set up on your iPhone.

• Tap Next at the top-right corner of the screen.
  

Step 6

The iPhone will attempt to verify your settings, then move to the next step.

• Ensure that IMAP is selected (blue) at the top of the screen.
• Scroll down to Incoming Mail Server and set the Host Name to mail.internode.on.net
• Enter the User Name as your Internode username, without @internode.on.net
• Enter your Internode password in the Password field.

• Scroll down to Outgoing Mail Server and set the Host Name as mail.internode.on.net

• Enter your Internode User Name, without @internode.on.net
• Enter your Internode password.

• Tap Next at the top-right corner of the screen. It will begin Verifying.

Step 7

• The iPhone will configure the settings correctly by itself. Once it has finished verifying your account, your iPhone will display the following screen:
• Tap Save at the top-right corner of the screen.

• The screen will say Account Added.

Still not working?

Your iPhone should automatically detect the correct settings, but in the event that it does not, then you may need to adjust the Advanced Settings manually:

Incoming Mail's Advanced Settings:

Tap on Settings, then select your Internode account. Select the account again from the list, and scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Advanced. Ensure the settings are as below:

• Use SSL: On
• Authentication: Password
• Server Port: 993

Outgoing Mail's Advanced Settings

Tap on Settings, then select your Internode account. Select the account again from the list, and scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap the Outgoing Server. Select the Primary Server, and ensure the settings are as below:

• Username: your Internode username. Do not include @internode.on.net
• Password: your Internode password.
• Use SSL: On
• Authentication: Password
• Server Port: 465

Congratulations! You have now set up your Apple iPhone email account.
