This guide will step you through setting up an Internode email account in Microsoft Office Entourage 2004/2008.
NOTE: Make sure Entourage is up to date by running Microsoft AutoUpdate prior to setting up your email account. If Entourage is not up to date you may experience problems with sending email.
Step 1
- Open Microsoft Entourage.
- Click on the Entourage menu at the top left of the screen, then select Account Settings…

Step 2
- Click on the New button to create a new account.

Step 3
- The Account Setup Assistant wizard will be displayed. If it does not, proceed to Step 4.
- Click the Configure account manually button to proceed.

Step 4
- Make sure the Account Type is set to IMAP, and click OK.

Step 5
- The Edit Account window will appear.
- In Account name, give the account a description. This helps you identify this account if you have more than one email address set up in Entourage.
- Under Name, enter your given name or business name—this is how your name appears when people receive email from you.
- Under E-mail address, enter your Interode email address, e.g., username@internode.on.net
- Enter your Internode username as your Account ID. Do not include @internode.on.net
- Enter mail.internode.on.net as the IMAP server.
- Enter your Internode password in the Password field.
- Enter mail.internode.on.net as the SMTP server.

Step 6
- Click the Click here for advanced receiving options button. A small window will appear.
- Select This IMAP service requires a secure connection (SSL).
- Click the small square at the top left of the box to close this box.

Step 7
- Click the Click here for advanced sending options button. A small window will appear.
- Select SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL).
- Select Override default SMTP port, and enter 465 in the text box.
- Select SMTP server requires authentication, and ensure that Use same settings as receiving mail server is selected.
- Click the small square at the top left of the box to close this box.

- Click OK to close the Edit Account window.
- You can now close the Accounts window.
Congratulations! You have now set up your Internode email address.
