Sender Policy Framework (SPF) helps prevent email spam by preventing unauthorised people from forging your e-mail address.
The settings available on this page are for advanced email configuration only. These settings do not need to be used for standard email configuration.
Sender Policy Framework (SPF) Records
If you have your own mail server or domain, and you'd like to avoid having messages marked as spam, you might like to add Internode's SPF record to your DNS zone file.
Our SPF record includes the IP addresses of Internode's mail servers. By adding the SPF record to your DNS zone file, you'll automatically receive updates if/when our IP addresses change.
To include the SPF record, simply add:
include:_spf.internode.on.net
to the existing SPF record in your DNS zone file.
For example, using only Internode's mail servers:
IN TXT "v=spf1 include:_spf.internode.on.net ~all"
To learn more about SPF, see the Wikipedia's article.
