To learn how to connect your Fetch TV set top box to your router using a wireless bridge:
The following ADSL routers are not explicitly supported by Internode for Fetch TV. They have been tested and are known to operate with Fetch TV, though we cannot guarantee that they function correctly.
You may use one of these routers, however the level and ability of Fetch TV support provided by Internode if you're using one of these routers may be limited:
Fetch TV setup guides for most of these routers are available in the Internode Fetch TV forum. You will receive an invite to this forum when your service is successfully provisioned.
Important notes:
Below is a basic outline of the settings that your modem/router will require to use Fetch TV.
You will need to configure an additional ADSL PVC to receive the Fetch TV multicast stream.
Your Internet Access PVC (8/35) should already be configured on your ADSL router, otherwise you wouldn't be able to access the Internet.
To receive the Fetch TV multicast streams, you'll need to add an extra PVC to your ADSL router, here are the settings for the additional PVC:
| VPI/VCI | 8/34 |
|---|---|
| Protocol/Connection Type | RFC 1483 Bridged LLC |
| NAT (Network Address Translation) | Disabled |
| ATM Class | UBR |
| Accept Frame Type | All |
| Filter Type | All |
| PVDI for Untagged Frames | 1 |
In order for the Fetch TV service to function correctly on your home network, you need to apply the following 'generic' settings to your ADSL router in addition to the PVC settings above:
| ADSL Router Local Network IP Address Allocation |
LAN addresses by DHCP server (your ADSL router should be the server) DHCP must be enabled on the modem otherwise your Fetch TV STB will not be assigned an IP address from your router If DHCP is disabled you will need to manually configure the IP address settings on your Fetch TV STB - this is not recommended |
