Billion 7401VGP-R3 Configuration

This guide is for configuring your hardware to work over an existing Internode ADSL service to access fetchtv. Below are instructions for configuring fetchtv to work using the Billion 7401VGP-R3 modem/router.

Step 1

• Click the Advanced link on the left.

Step 2

• Click the Configuration link on the left.

Step 3

• Click the WAN link on the left.

• Click the WAN Profile link on the left.

Step 4

• Select Pure Bridge from the Protocol drop down.

• Type 8 into the VPI textbox.

• Type 34 into the VCI textbox.

• Click the Add button on the bottom left of the page.

Step 5

• Click the Advanced link on the left.

Step 6

• Click the IGMP link below that.

Step 7

• Set IGMP Forwarding to disable.

• Set IGMP Snooping to enable.

• Click the Apply button on the bottom left of the page.

Step 8

• Click the LAN button under Configuration on the left.

Step 9

• Click the Bridge Interface button under LAN.

Step 10

• Un-tick the Port number that your fetchtv set top box is connected to and tick 'ethernet1' on the appropriate port.

• Eg. If the fetchtv set-top box was plugged into Port 3 on the Billion modem you would un-tick P3 ethernet and tick P3 ethernet1. Please Note—Ethernet port 1 is unable to be configured to connect to fetchtv.

• Click the Apply button on the bottom left of the page.

Step 11

• Click the Save Config button at the bottom-right of the page.
• Click the Apply button.

• You can now plug the fetchtv set-top box into the modem's ethernet port specified in step 10.
