Billion 7404 X-Series fetchtv Configuration

This guide is for configuring your hardware to work over an existing Internode ADSL service to access fetchtv Full. Below are instructions for configuring FetchTV to work using the following Billion routers:

• 7404VGPX
• 7404VGOX
• 7404VNOX
• 7404VNPX

Step 1

• Open your web browser (e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Safari if using a Mac)

• Remove everything from the address bar including the "http://" so the field is completely blank and type "192.168.1.254" and press the enter key.

• Log in to the modem with the username admin and password admin.

• Click the Advanced link on the left side of the page

Step 2

• Click the Configuration link on the left.

Step 3

• Click the WAN link on the left side of the page

• Click the WAN Profile link on the left side of the page

Step 4

• Select Pure Bridge from the Protocol drop down box.

• Type 8 into the VPI text box.

• Type 34 into the VCI text box.

• Type IPTV into the description text box.

• Click the Add button on the bottom left side of the table.

Step 5

• Click the Advanced link on the left of the page.

Step 6

• Click the IGMP link on the left side of the page.

Step 7

• Set the IGMP Forwarding radio button to Disable.

• Set the IGMP Snooping radio button to Enable.

• Click the Apply button.

Step 8

• Click the LAN button under Configuration on the left.

Step 9

• Click the Bridge Interface button under LAN.

Step 10

• Un-tick the port number that your fetchtv set top box is connected to (check the back of your router) and tick "ethernet1" on the appropriate port (for example If the fetchtv set top box was plugged into port 3 on the modem, un-tick "P3 ethernet" and tick "P3 ethernet1") Please Note - Ethernet port 1 is unable to be configured to connect to the fetchtv set top box.

• Once completed, click the Apply button.
• Click the Save Config button located down the bottom-right of the page.

Step 11

• Click the Apply button

• You can now plug the fetchtv set top box into the modem's ethernet port specified in step 10.

With the fetchtv set top box turned OFF, restart your modem by either switching the modem power off for 1 minute or selecting 'restart with current settings' on the bottom right of the page. (This will preserve your settings.) Once the modem has been turned back on, you can then turn the power to your fetchtv set top box ON.
