For those users who are familiar with manual configuration of their Billion routers, here are the recommended dial plans for use with NodePhone.
Please note - if you don't understand the following information, don't panic - simply follow the step by step instructions located here, to load an Internode-approved configuration file!
The 'lifeline' configuration is recommended for general use, as many users require a traditional telephone service to receive their ADSL broadband Internet connection. By connecting the traditional telephone service to your Billion and using the 'lifeline' configuration, you receive the following benefits :
The recommended dial plan is:
(0[23478]xxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxx|*xx|111|13[1-9]xxx|1[38]00xxxxxx|001xxx.T|x.T)
You can set this via the command line by pasting the following command once you've connected to your Billion via Telnet:
voip endpoint 1 set digitmap (0[23478]xxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxx|*xx|111|13[1-9]xxx|1[38]00xxxxxx|001xxx.T|x.T)
You should also ensure that you set appropriate numbers such as 000 to be sent out via PSTN on the PSTN dial plan page.

In certain cases - such as Internode's regional wireless broadband networks, and Naked ADSL2+ services - you may not have a traditional telephone service available to use as a 'lifeline'. Of course if you do, feel free to use the 'lifeline' configuration.
But if you don't, then a different configuration is required. This will send all outgoing calls - including 000 and 1300 - out through the NodePhone service. You should consider alternative methods for calling the 000 emergency services - such as access to a mobile phone - in case the NodePhone service, or your broadband connection, or your mains power is unavailable.
