This guide provides instructions on how to update your Billion to the
current firmware version supported by Internode. The firmware
version that Internode currently recommends and supports may differ from firmware versions available on the Billion website.
- Start your web browser (ie. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari).
- Click on this link.
- Select your Billion router model then navigate to the firmware directory and
download the current firmware (.afw file) for your router.
- Save the .afw file to the desktop on your computer.
- Then in your web browser, enter 192.168.1.254 into the address bar, and press enter.
- In the Username: field enter admin and in the Password: field enter admin. Please note that these are case sensitive.
- The firmware is listed as Software Version on the first page of the Billion configuration.
- Click on Configuration.
- Click on System.
- Click on Firmware Upgrade.
- You will then need to select the firmware file which you have downloaded to your computer in Step 4.
- Once you have selected it press Upgrade.
- A status bar will appear
showing the upgrade progress - the whole process will take a couple of
minutes.
- Once the upgrade has completed you will be presented with an
option to either restart with current settings, or restart to factory
defaults. Select Restart with factory default settings.
- The router will now display a status window, which has a countdown
timer. This is an indication of how long the router takes to restart.
