
Note: If you purchased your D-Link DSL-504 from Internode, it is already pre-configured to work with your ADSL service. You do not need to configure it.
Connect your DSL-504 to your computer by following the instructions in the modem manual. This will involve connecting your DSL-504 to your computers network card using the Blue ethernet cable. Turn your DSL modem on, when the status light starts flashing, reboot your computer.
Open your web browser, and go to the URL http://192.168.0.1


A webpage should load which looks similar to the image below
Click on the "Login" Button

A Dialogue Box will pop up asking for a Username and Password.
The Username is admin and the password is admin

Click the OK button once you have entered the username and password.
You should be presented with a screen with configuration details similar to the image below. Don't enter any details yet.

Under the "Connection Profile" Select "2 AU_PPPoA, VPI=8, VCI=35, Router with PPPoA" from the list, it should be the second one from the top.

Then Click the "OK" button.

Next you will be presented with an option to save changes. Select "Save changes and reboot system now" and click OK
Your ADSL Router is now rebooting, it will take approximately 30-40 seconds to reboot.

Once the router has rebooted, log in again, as per step 4.
Set the "Encapsulation Method" to "VC mux"
Now enter your username and password into the applicable fields, your username is in the form username@internode.on.net. See the image below for an example:

Once you have selected "VC mux" and entered the correct username and password click OK.
Next you will be presented with an option to save changes. Select "Save changes and reboot system now" and click OK
Your ADSL Router is now rebooting, it will take approximately 30-40 seconds to reboot.

Once the DSL-504 has rebooted, you will be presented with the login screen again. Log back into your DSL-504 and check the "PPP Information", it should display an IP address, a Default Gateway address and the "Connection Status" should be "Connected".
If the above is what you see, you are now connected, open a web browser and start browsing the Internet.
If you see "Physical Line Error" or "LCP No Response", try clicking the connect button, and giving the router a few moments to connect.
If it still does not connect correctly after several tries, look at the front of the router and check that the "ADSL Link" light is on.
If it is, try again several times, if it still does not connect please contact our helpdesk for assistance.
If the "ADSL Link" light is not on, ensure your line filters are plugged in correctly then try again. if the "ADSL Link" light is still not lit, please contact our helpdesk.
