
Note: If you purchased your Linksys router from Internode, it is already pre-configured to work with your ADSL service. You do not need to configure it.
Connect your router (ADSL modem) to your computer by following the instructions in the modem manual. This will involve connecting your router to your computers network card using the Yellow ethernet cable. Turn your DSL modem on, when the status light stops flashing, reboot your computer.
Open your web browser, and go to the URL http://192.168.1.1


A webpage should load which looks similar to the image below
A Dialogue Box will pop up asking for a Username and Password.
The Username is admin and the password is admin

Click the OK button once you have entered the username and password.
You should be presented with a screen with configuration details.
On this page please match the settings below.
Important: replace "username" with your Internode username, enter your password given to you by Internode and select your timezone from the dropdown list at the bottom.

Once all of the settings have been entered, click on "Save Settings" at the bottom of the page.
The following dialogue should be displayed, and after 5 seconds the page should refresh to the one shown above.

You have now configured your Linksys WAG54G to work with Internode's HOME or SOHO ADSL service.
To confirm that it is configured correctly, go to the "Status" page. (click the link at the top left of the Linksys page marked "Status") This will display a page looking similar to the one below.
ADSL Link, should be "Up", if PPP Login isn't Connected, click the "Connect" button (Disconnect button in the image below). The page should refresh and you should be connected.
When you are connected correctly, the "Internet" light on the front of the Router will turn from Red to Green, and the Status page will look similar to the one below.

You are now connected and logged in. You should be able to use the Internet now.
Important note, if you are using a WAG54G, please ensure you disable Wireless access in the wireless settings, or enable wireless using WEP or WPA encryption. If you use the standard settings for wireless others may be able to gain unauthorised access to your Local network or Internet connection.
