NodePhone MultiLine
This is the same reliable NodePhone VoIP product, with the ability to support more than the default '2' concurrent calls included in a standard NodePhone service.
No additional numbering is provided as part of this service. MultiLine offers just the ability to place or receive more than the standard two concurrent calls.
Interfacing NodePhone VoIP To Your PBX
A fair degree of technical expertise is required to interface NodePhone VoIP to IP PBX phone systems. This should be considered carefully before committing to the service.
MultiLine services require certified interoperability of the IP PBX or phone system with Broadsoft, or acceptance from the customer that their equipment may not be supported (from a technical support perspective) by Internode. Each case will be assessed individually to determine the level of support that may be available for the given equipment.
Many IP PBX systems already successfully interface to NodePhone VoIP, including: Cisco Access Servers, UC500, Cisco Call Manager Express, Mitel 3300, Zultys MX series, DrayTek VigorIPPBX 2820, LG-Ericsson iPECS, and Asterisk. While these implementations are welcome, please note that Internode do not provide design, consultancy, or ongoing support services for IP PBX systems.
Systems Integration
Most business customers will require the services of a trusted, competent voice/data systems integrator to achieve an optimal outcome. Internode suggest the following systems integrators:

Voice and data communications are mission-critical to the majority of businesses these days. You need to carefully select a systems integration partner based on trust, competence, and experience.
Bandwidth and Quality of Service
Dimensioning the broadband connection also requires careful attention. Some generic recommendations are a minimum service of 512/128 kbps for one concurrent call, 1500/256 kbps for two concurrent calls, and 512/512 kbps for five concurrent calls. That is, generally, around 100 kbps per concurrent call.
'Quality of Service' prioritisation of outbound traffic is also required. The NodePhone platform automatically prioritises voice traffic from the Internode network. Your equipment needs to do the same for voice traffic into the network.
Pricing
MultiLine is simply the ability to support additional concurrent calls on a NodePhone service. This can be set via the NodePhone Online Toolbox.
In conjunction with a standard NodePhone account, MultiLine involves:
- a $20 configuration change fee, applied each time you change your channel count; and
- a $10 rental fee per month (or part thereof), for each additional channel of call capacity (beyond the default inclusion of two channels).
Coverage
NodePhone MultiLine is nationally available:
- on any NodePhone1 service (that is, the outbound calling product); and
- on NodePhone2 services (the both-way calling product) that have phone numbers within the call zones of Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Sydney. Coverage is also available for all of South Australia, Tasmania, and Australian Capital Territory.
The additional channels of the MultiLine option can be ordered as part of the standard NodePhone online sign up process for existing Internode broadband customers, or via the PDF order form for non-Internode customers. These options are available during sign up.
If you already have a NodePhone service, simply request MultiLine additional channels through the NodePhone Toolbox.
All quoted pricing includes GST.
