The $39.95 Home-Extreme-Explorer service, which runs as fast as 24 megabits per second, is the latest initiative from Internode.
Demonstrating its value, the new ADSL2+ broadband plan offers the same price and same five-gigabyte monthly download quota as first generation ADSL broadband plans running at a fraction of the speed.
An entry-level SOHO Extreme ADSL2+ plan has also been introduced at $59.95 with the same speed and download quota - plus a static IP address and high-speed Annex M uploads.
Internode's Extreme broadband services are available from more than 100 telephone exchanges across the country where we have installed our own broadband equipment.
Internode has also carved $10 off the price of many of the current SOHO broadband plans - so that they now cost just $10 more than Internode Home broadband plans.
The price reductions are available to all new sign ups, and will also be applied automatically to existing SOHO ADSL Standard, ADSL Plus and Naked ADSL2+ customers from their next billing date.
A table detailing the SOHO ADSL plan changes is available at the bottom of this page.
A new SOHO ADSL Plus plan has also been introduced, SOHO-Plus-5. This plan is priced at $79.95 per month and includes 5 Gigabytes of data.
Internode has also introduced NakedExtreme 'New Service Connections', which provides a new way to obtain a dialtone-free broadband service from Internode's own infrastructure - without the disruption of converting an existing telephone line. New service installations are priced at $129.
NakedExtreme ADSL2+ plans start from $49.95 per month, with 5 Gigabytes of data - and now with $10 of NodePhone2 calls every month!
Last week Internode released a number of other product updates:
