Setting up an Internode NodeMobile Data Service

When you signup for NodeMobile Data, you can either:

• purchase 3G hardware with a NodeMobile SIM - or just purchase a NodeMobile SIM, MicroSIM or NanoSIM - outright, and have a rolling one month contract with no early cancellation charges; or
• receive discounted 3G hardware with a NodeMobile SIM, with an early cancellation charge of $99 if you cancel within the first 24 months

The setup fee depends on the 3G hardware you select for your NodeMobile Data service:

NodeMobile Data Plan Changes

Your broadband requirements may change over time, so you're not locked in to a particular monthly quota.

• A $10 charge applies for changing NodeMobile Data plans. You can request plan changes at any time via our online plan changer (simply select 'NodeMobile' as the Access Type), regardless of whether you are within a contract term or not.
• Please note that any changes requested will take effect at the start of your next billing period - remember you can use Data Blocks if you need an instant quota upgrade.

NodeMobile Data Miscellaneous Charges

• Text Messages - Each standard text (SMS) message that you send through the NodeMobile Data service to an Australian mobile service is 25 cents - note this facility is only available on Windows operating systems, not Macs. Text messages to international mobile services cost 75 cents. Text messages to premium SMS services are not available.
• External Antenna - A desktop antenna is also available for $29.95 (plus $10 delivery Australia-wide). This is suitable for use with both the Huawei E3131 and E583C; and is recommended for areas with low 3G signal strength.
• Replacement Hardware - A replacement SIM, MicroSIM or NanoSIM is $10; and you can also swap your SIM for a MicroSIM or NanoSIM for $10. Replacement 3G hardware is $69 for a Huawei E3131 or $129 for a Huawei E583C. A delivery charge of $15 for 3G hardware ($5 for SIM-only orders) applies, Australia-wide.

Total Minimum Price

The total minimum price depends on the contract term, hardware option and monthly usage plan that you select; as shown in the following two tables.

• Please note that your total minimum price may be higher ($15 for hardware, $5 for SIM-only) if delivery is required.

The following table shows the total minimum price on a monthly contract for each plan - ie the standard setup charge which varies with the selected hardware, plus one month of broadband plan rental.

2. Total Minimum Price - 24 Month Contract

The following table shows the total minimum price on a 24 month contract for each plan over a 24 month period - ie the reduced setup charge which varies with the selected hardware, plus 24 months of broadband plan rental.

• If you cancel your service during the initial 24 month period, you are liable for an early cancellation charge of $99.

Equipment Requirements

You may require an approved 3G modem or router to connect your NodeMobile Data service. If you don't already have a suitable device, check out our range of approved hardware.

Your Agreement with Internode

When you apply for Internode NodeMobile Data, you should be aware that you are entering an agreement with Internode.

When you sign up for a service you agree to the Internode Standard Form of Agreement and Internode NodeMobile Service Schedule. These are Internode's standard terms and conditions for the NodeMobile Data service.

The Performance of NodeMobile Data Services

The speed that you obtain will vary depending on a number of factors, which are presented on our NodeMobile Data Performance page.

Important Information about NodeMobile Data services

• No international roaming - International roaming is not offered with NodeMobile Data services.
• Dynamic IP address - A dynamic IP address is supplied by default. Static IP addressing is available for an extra $5 per month - further information.
• The monthly quota allocation on Internode NodeMobile Data services is counted as the sum of both uploads and downloads.Definitions (in accordance with Australian ISP conventions):
  • 1 MB or 1 Mbyte is 1 Megabyte = 1,000,000 bytes.
  • 1 GB or 1 Gbyte is 1 Gigabyte = 1,000 Megabytes.

Billing & Notifications

Tax invoices, Internode Bulletins and automated data usage warning messages are sent to your Internode email address. Please refer to the configuration sheet (supplied when your service is activated) for details of your Internode email address. You can automatically forward these emails to another email address if required, via our online Email Management system.

As per the Internode Standard Form of Agreement, payment is required in advance. You will be required to pay the setup fee and any equipment costs (if applicable) and the first monthly fee upon provisioning of your service. Billing will begin within 7 days of the service being provisioned by our carrier, or earlier if you have registered a successful login.

Posting of paper invoices is available but discouraged for environmental reasons, and if requested will attract a $1.50 surcharge per invoice. Surcharges also apply to payments made by credit card - full details on this and our other payment options are available here.
