Setting up an Internode Easy Naked ADSL2+ Service

You have the options of:

• A standard setup fee with no early cancellation charge. Your only commitment is the 'one month rolling contract' that is inherent in paying one month's rental in advance on your service; or
• A discounted setup fee with a 24 month contract term. If you cancel your service during the initial 24 month period, you are liable for an early cancellation charge. This charge is $120 in the first 12 months, reducing to $65 during the second 12 months. More information about the 24 month contract.

Easy Naked Plan Changes

Your broadband requirements may change over time, so you're not locked in to a particular monthly quota. Existing Internode Naked ADSL customers can simply change plans online to any of the current Easy Naked plans - no once-off charges apply.

• There's no change to your contract term unless you are changing an existing Internode Naked ADSL service to the Easy Naked 150 Special plan - this requires a 24 month contract commitment.
• Any plan changes requested will take effect at the start of your next billing period - remember you can use Data Blocks if you need an instant quota upgrade.

Easy Naked and NodePhone2-Special

The new Easy Naked plans - except the Easy Naked 150 Special  - are bundled with NodePhone2-Special. This is a fully featured, high quality VoIP service with $10 per month call credit, at no additional charge!

Total Minimum Price

The total minimum price depends on the setup option and plan that you select; as shown in the following two tables. Please note that if you need to purchase equipment or arrange premises cabling, then your total costs may be higher.

1. Total Minimum Price - Monthly Contract

The following table shows the total minimum price on a monthly contract for each plan - i.e., the standard setup charge of $129 for a new service connection, transfer or phone line conversion; plus one month of Easy Naked plan rental.

• The total minimum price will be $90 less if your Easy Naked service can be setup by churning a suitable existing Naked ADSL service from an Optus direct connection.
• Please note that the monthly contract option on Easy Naked 150 Special is not available for existing Internode Naked ADSL customers.
  

2. Total Minimum Price - 24 Month Contract

The standard setup charge is reduced on the 24 month contract option.

• If you cancel your service during the initial 24 month period, you are liable for an early cancellation charge. This charge is $120 in the first 12 months, reducing to $65 during the second 12 months.

The following table shows the total minimum price on a 24 month contract for each plan over a 24 month period. This is the reduced setup charge of $79 for a new service connection, transfer or phone line conversion; plus 24 months of Easy Naked plan rental. The total minimum price will be $79 less if your Easy Naked service can be setup by churning a suitable existing Naked ADSL service from an Optus direct connection.

Equipment Requirements

You will require an ADSL router or 'home gateway' to connect your Easy Naked service. If you don't already have a suitable device, check out our extensive range of broadband routers.

• You'll need a VoIP-capable ADSL router - or alternatively, an IP telephone handset - if you intend to use NodePhone VoIP.

Your Agreement with Internode

When you apply for Internode Easy Naked, you should be aware that you are entering an agreement with Internode.

When you sign up for a service you agree to the Internode Standard Form of Agreement, Internode ADSL Service Specifications and Internode Naked ADSL Service Schedule. These are Internode's standard terms and conditions for the Easy Naked service.

The Performance of Easy Naked Services

The maximum possible speed of an Easy Naked ADSL2+ service will depend on a number of factors. These include the type of DSLAM that is providing your connection, the length and quality of the phone line that links your premises to your local telephone exchange, and the type of ADSL modem or router that you are using.

Internode does not guarantee that customers who select the Easy Naked plans will be able to obtain the maximum theoretical speed. Easy Naked services can also be installed over much longer distances than traditional spectrum-shared ADSL - as a result there is no guaranteed minimum line synchronisation speed or data transfer rate - upload or download - on this service.

Important Information about Easy Naked services

• Any cabling that is required in your premises beyond the network boundary point is your cost and responsibility.
• Naked ADSL does not support any 'traditional' analog / voice services, including analog telephones and any service that requires an analog modem connection such as monitored alarms, EFTPOS machines, faxes, dialup modems, pay TV modems, etc. In particular please check with your security service provider if your premises has a monitored alarm system.

Other Limitations

• No resale of bandwidth - Internode Broadband services provide access for personal and immediate family or business use only.
• Single location only - Internode Broadband services are designed to allow one concurrent router login on one specific physical connection (you can of course have multiple users sharing this connection). Logging in at a different physical location to the location associated with the connection may fail to work, or may incur an additional cost of $1 per connected hour.
• Dynamic IP address - A dynamic IP address is supplied by default. Select a Power Pack or a Business Pack option, if a static IP address is required. IPv6 addressing is also available if supported by your equipment - further information.
• The monthly quota allocation on Internode Easy Naked services is counted as the sum of both uploads and downloads.Definitions (in accordance with Australian ISP conventions):
  • 1 MB or 1 Mbyte is 1 Megabyte = 1,000,000 bytes.
  • 1 GB or 1 Gbyte is 1 Gigabyte = 1,000 Megabytes.
  • 1 TB or 1 Tbyte is 1 Terabyte = 1,000 Gigabytes.
  • Quota allocation is counted in the download direction only, if you select the Power Pack or Business Pack option.

ADSL Relocations

If you plan to move premises - even if you are taking the same number with you - you'll need to use our online relocation process. This ensures a smooth transition, and gives you the choice of:

• no ADSL relocation fee, and a new 24 month contract; or
• a $99 relocation fee, with any existing contract term carried across to your new premises.

Billing & Notifications

Tax invoices, Internode Bulletins and automated data usage warning messages are sent to your Internode email address. Please refer to the configuration sheet (supplied when your service is activated) for details of your Internode email address. You can automatically forward these emails to another email address if required, via our online Email Management system.

If you have ordered hardware you will be required to pay for it by credit card before it is sent to you. As per the Internode Standard Form of Agreement, payment for all recurring charges is required monthly in advance. This means that your first invoice will have the setup fee (if applicable) and the monthly plan fees for your service for the first 2 months. Billing will begin within 7 days of the service being provisioned by our carrier, or earlier if you have registered a successful login.

No charges apply until the service is confirmed as deliverable by our carrier.

Posting of paper invoices is available but discouraged for environmental reasons, and if requested will attract a $1.50 surcharge per invoice. Surcharges also apply to payments made by credit card - view more details on this and our other payment options.
