The rate table for NodePhone is available here.
The following items summarise the calling bands which apply for NodePhone calls.
For most people, moving to the $19.95 per month Telstra 'Homeline Budget' plan and using NodePhone for outbound calls will result in considerable savings. Please note however that customers are responsible for line rental plan decisions and costs, and non-NodePhone call costs charged by their Standard Telephone Service provider, and that these charges are outside of the control of Internode.
Calls between NodePhone users across the NodePhone network are free of additional per-call charges (although as for all other call types, the traffic consumed counts toward your broadband usage quota).
This flat-rate, distance-independent calling rate applies when you make a phone call to any standard Australian land based telephone number (with prefix 02, 03, 07 or 08).
Applies when you make a phone call to a standard Australian mobile phone service (with prefix 04).
Applies when you call a telephone number outside of Australia (by dialing 0011).
Call rates for International calls vary based on the country you are calling, and are summarised here.
Alternatively you can the call cost calculator if you need to confirm the call rate for a destination you wish to call.
Your NodePhone hardware, if correctly configured, will pass these call types out to the Public Switched Telephone Network without going through NodePhone. This is because these call types are often routed to the destination based on your very specific geographic location, and of course there is no specific geographic location associated with a NodePhone service. So at the moment, these calls are better handled by the PSTN.
However, other VoIP configurations or hardware may make 13, 1300, 18 or 1800 calls across the NodePhone network. We'll deliver these calls out to the PSTN network in the capital city that your NodePhone number implies, without presenting Calling Line Identification. 'Capital cities' includes Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney & Perth - not Darwin or Hobart.
Important note - using this non-standard configuration, such calls may not land on your local pizza franchise! In practice these calls will generally route fine (if 'state-based routing) or at worst, have the same result as if you called the number from a mobile phone.
