What do I need to use a TiVo?

  • A broadband Internet connection, connected to the TiVo via your home wireless network (using the TiVo wireless adaptor ) or via an Ethernet network cable.
  • A TV that accepts S-Video, Component, Composite or HDMI connections.
  • Digital TV signal coverage.

Buying a TiVo media device

Can I buy a TiVo from Internode?

Yes, you can buy a TiVo and most TiVo accessories through the Internode Online Store.

The only TiVo accessory you can't yet buy directly from Internode is the Home Networking Package. If you'd like to purchase the Home Networking Package, please visit http://www.tivo.com.au.

How much does TiVo cost?

TiVo and TiVo accessory pricing is available in the Internode Online Store.

Do I have to pay a monthly subscription fee for TiVo in Australia?

No, there is no monthly subscription fee in Australia to access the TiVo service, which includes the Electronic Program Guide and software updates - these are provided automatically over the Internet to your TiVo. The EPG and software updates updates are also provided (as unmetered traffic) to Internode ADSL customers without incurring download charges.

Can I bundle a TiVo with my broadband plan yet?

No, not quite yet, this option will be available in the future.

TiVo Unmetered Content

What content is unmetered?

Blockbuster Movies on Demand for TiVo are now unmetered for Internode ADSL customers.

In addition, the TiVo Electronic Program Guide (EPG) data and TiVo software updates, are also unmetered through an Internode Broadband ADSL connection.

Do I have to be on a special TiVo broadband plan to get unmetered movies?

Unmetered TiVo content as noted above is available to all Internode ADSL broadband plans.

I already own a TiVo and already have an Internode broadband connection, will my TiVo content be unmetered?

Yes, the unmetering described here is available for all TiVo media devices being used on Internode ADSL broadband connections, regardless of where they were purchased.

I need help setting up my TiVo, who can I contact?

Internode can provide you with initial assistance in setup if required (although most customers find that they have no trouble getting their TiVo connected and working on their own).

I'm having problems with my digital TV reception and my TiVo

Unlike analogue TV, pictures and sound on digital TV will either be perfect, breaking up, or at worst, non-existent!
