Internode has topped the list of national ADSL2+ providers in a satisfaction survey of nearly 4000 ISP customers conducted by Choice.

Internode tops Choice customer satisfaction survey

24-10-2007

Internode customers responding to the independently-run survey were very satisfied with the price, performance and support of their Internode Extreme ADSL2+ broadband services.

An outstanding 74 per cent of Internode ADSL2+ customers rated themselves “very satisfied” with its fast broadband ADSL2+ services – well clear of second-placed iiNet at 48 per cent. Also, Internode was in the top two companies for customer satisfaction with its first generation broadband ADSL services.

“Internode users were more likely to be very satisfied overall and with their connection speed, total cost and payment options (for ADSL2+ services),” notes the Choice ISP Satisfaction Survey report.

"Internode ADSL customers were more likely to rate the support staff as very good for the technical help, time taken to resolve queries, communication skills and patience… Internode ADSL2/2+ users were very unlikely to change service provider in the next 12 months," according to the report.

Choice says that 3870 subscribers took part in its biannual survey of Internet service providers in July this year, answering questions about the quality of service, performance, cost, and support of the ISPs and their associated services. About five per cent of these respondents were Internode customers.

Internode managing director Simon Hackett said the strong customer satisfaction rating was a significant milestone for the company. "This is the first time Internode has appeared in a Choice survey," he said.

"Now we have enough critical mass to become visible in this important demographic, it’s terrific that the satisfaction of our customers has allowed us to top the ADSL2+ survey. It also signifies how much Internode is gaining traction beyond its traditional heartland of tech-savvy customers, with increasing take-up in more general market segments."

"This is what we thrive on, and what we’re proud of - strong recommendations from trusted sources."

Internode is currently planning its next generation broadband service, dubbed "naked ADSL2+", which is due for release in the first quarter of next year. The planned service will build on Internode’s recent announcement that it will significantly extend its national ADSL2+ coverage to 170 exchanges Australia-wide, making Internode Extreme broadband even more accessible to a greater number of Australians.
