New $34.95 Home ADSL 256k plan, now available!
By popular demand, Internode's new $34.95 Home-256-Express plan provides a more affordable on-ramp to the Internode network than its previous entry-level service, the $39.95 Home-512-Value plan.
Internode product manager Jim Kellett said the new plan provided customers with greater choice. "As well as making broadband more affordable for first-time customers, we are providing an attractive upgrade option for people stuck on a $30 plan with 500 megabytes or less download allowances," he said.
"By providing 10 times the download quota for an additional $5 a month, we hope it will attract people who want to use the Internet for web browsing, email and online banking without having to constantly 'watch the clock' to ensure they don't exceed their tiny download allowance."
As well as the generous download quota, Internode broadband plans offer benefits including no expensive data charges if the quota is exceeded, five spam and virus-filtered email accounts, 50 MB of personal webspace and a friendly and expert customer help desk. Internode also provides an extensive range of "unmetered" online content, including games and Internet radio, which can be accessed without affecting the download quota.
The new $34.95 Home-256-Express plan continues to extend Internode's range of customer choice which was broadened by the launch of new mid-tier plans in March and April.
Internode also reports strong demand for its inaugural Naked ADSL2+ plans, which deliver broadband and an Internet Protocol-based phone service over a telephone line without a dial tone. Mr. Kellett said Naked ADSL2+ had proved popular. "Naked ADSL2+ is booming along," he said.
"This week, we are introducing two new options for establishing a Naked ADSL2+ service. One is for people who move into apartments where there is a 'soft' dial tone, which is linked to the telephone exchange, but not the broader telephone network. We can convert those to a Naked ADSL2+ service without the customer having to pay a Telstra activation fee and initial monthly line rental."
"The other option comes from Optus introducing a churn process on its wholesale ADSL2+ network. This allows customers on that network to make a hassle-free, 'no touch' switch to Internode. While individually these changes are quite minor, collectively they contribute to Internode offering a wide range of price and performance points to its customers and making it easy for them to use Internode services."
