Internode has collected its third major award this month when it was last named Emerging Broadband Service Provider of the Year in the 2009 Frost & Sullivan Australia Best Practices Awards.

Award trifecta as Internode wins Frost & Sullivan award

26-11-2009

Internode's success in the prestigious Frost & Sullivan awards extends its recent achievement in topping a biennial ISP customer satisfaction survey held by consumer advocacy group Choice and collecting the inaugural Best ISP (Internet Service Provider) accolade from the annual SMLES survey held by AFR Smart Investor magazine.

Frost & Sullivan is a global research organisation which employs 1800 analysts and consultants to monitor more than 300 industries and 250,000 companies.

Frost & Sullivan ICT Practice Senior Research Analyst Phil Harpur said Internode had shown impressive growth and market innovation through its naked ADSL2+ offerings. "Internode was one of the pioneering Broadband Service Providers to roll out and launch services in this market segment," he said.

"Internode appears to be well placed to work within the government's proposed National Broadband Network (NBN) plan for potential wireless network rollouts, with its WiMAX regional services in South Australia already able to achieve the 12 megabit-per-second regional benchmark speed specified by the NBN."

Internode National Sales Manager Daryl Knight collected the Emerging Broadband Service Provider award on behalf on Internode at a gala presentation banquet in Sydney last night.

"This award provides Internode with independent third party verification of its outstanding achievements in the Australian broadband sector," he said. "What's gratifying is that our customers also love what we're doing, as evident in our success in the Choice and AFR Smart Investor customer satisfaction surveys."
