Internode today announces Australia's first true terabyte broadband plan in a service extension that offers generous new quotas to data-hungry customers

Internode tailors Australia's first true Terabyte plan

06-09-2010

Taking a lead from the over-size T-shirt shelf, Internode's 1000 gigabyte (GB) XXL Easy Broadband ADSL2+ service drapes its customers in a true one-terabyte data quota plan.

Significantly, all these new Easy Broadband plans allow customers to use their data quota whenever they want - rather than quarantine them to the wee hours with off-peak quotas.

Internode managing director Simon Hackett said the XXL Easy Broadband ADSL2+ plan was the first 'real' 1000GB plan on the Australian market. "Our plans let you use your quota whenever you want," he said.

"That's in stark contrast to existing high-end market plans that have split their quota into peak and off peak amounts, with the off peak only available for a minority of the time"

"Our M and L plans offer great value and progress cleanly from the entry-level Easy S plan while the XL and XXL plans offer huge quotas for those whom too much is never enough. "

"Our new T-shirt plan table is a major extension of Internode’s enormously successful Easy and Naked Easy broadband plans. It's worth noting that there are no changes to our other plan tables. These new plans just add value and additional choice for any customer who has an appetite for large data quotas."

Internode is offering its new Internode Easy Broadband and Naked Easy plans at more than 300 telephone exchanges nationally, through a combination of its own direct DSLAM footprint and that of Optus. Service availability varies depending on specific plan and geographic location - details will be provided on the Internode web site when the plans are released.

Easy plans also include free support for ADSL2+ Annex M, where it is available. This allows the potential for higher upload speeds of up to 2.5 megabits per second. Annex M service requires an Internode-Direct ADSL2+ port and Annex M compatible customer equipment.

Along with these new plans, Internode will release new analogue telephone services called NodeLine HomePlus and NodeLine BizPlus, which cost $34.95 and $39.95 a month respectively and include the first $5 of phone calls each month in the price of the plan.
