Internode will use its CBD-wide AdelaideFree public WiFi network to act as a conduit between fans and the Adelaide Fringe as part of its renewed sponsorship for 2015.

Fans win as Internode backs the Adelaide Fringe

Another aspect of this cool campaign will see Internode distributing handheld fans at the Fringe Funhouse space in Rundle Mall to promote Internode Fringe Favourites, its free service that lets people plan and share their Fringe itineraries.

Just like building a music playlist, Internode Fringe Favourites lets attendees shortlist shows they want to see, buy tickets, and share personal plans with friends on Facebook. Internode Fringe Favourites is available to all Fringe fans, not just Internode customers.

Internode and the Adelaide Fringe will also share their brands on one of the city's trams. Internode has sponsored the Adelaide Fringe for more than a decade.

Sponsorship manager Alicia Phillis said Internode's focus for 2015 was to act as a conduit between Fringe fans and their passion. "We want to make it easy for people to enjoy the Fringe," she said.

"The AdelaideFree public WiFi network is a wonderful resource that allows anyone in the CBD to use their smartphones or tablets to access the great online resources and reviews for Fringe events. Internode Fringe Favourites lets people share their passion with their friends."

The Adelaide Fringe, Australia's largest arts event, runs from February 13 to March 15, 2015. The open-access festival invites anyone with a show, exhibition or cultural event to join in, resulting in one of the most diverse arts festivals in the world, renowned for its fresh ideas, spontaneity and fun.

With 900 events staged in pop-up venues in parks, warehouses, lane-ways and empty buildings as well as established venues, the Fringe features artists from around Australia and across the globe performing alongside home-grown talent, in art forms spanning cabaret, comedy, circus, dance, film, theatre, puppetry, music, visual art and design.

AdelaideFree, a free public WiFi network that uses nearly 300 wireless access points to saturate almost the entire Central Business District of Adelaide, was constructed by Internode in a partnership with the South Australian Government and Adelaide City Council.
