Internode Phone Services on the NBN

Please note: Information on this page applies to existing Internode customers that are migrating or relocating to NBN Fibre plans, or to existing Internode customers already on NBN Fibre plans prior to 06/09/2019.

For new customers to Internode on Residential NBN Fibre plans from 06/09/2019, please refer to the NBN Phone Service information on the NBN Fibre plans page.

We use Voice over IP (VoIP) for most phone services over the NBN. Internode has 2 types of Phone Service. These phone services work just like a normal phone, using your internet connection to make and receive calls.

NodePhone VoIP

With $0 monthly rental and great-value call rates NodePhone VoIP is available to order with FTTP, FTTB, FTTN and Fixed-Wireless NBN services.

In most areas you can transfer your existing phone number, or get a new one if you prefer.

NBN Phone (HFC and FTTC only)

If you're in an NBN HFC or FTTC area, an NBN Phone service is included with your NBN HFC or FTTC broadband service.

Please note however that the NBN Phone service is only available via the Supplied Broadband Equipment (currently the TP-Link VR1600v).

There's no separate phone line rental charges, and great-value call rates.
