
This guide is designed to assist customers to configure their OPEN Networks 812L Analog Telephone Adapter for use with the Internode NodePhone service.
Please note that all OPEN Networks equipment sold by Internode is pre-configured. Hence in most cases, you should simply need to follow the connection process (step 1).

Your ADSL router will automatically assign an IP address to the OPEN Networks 812L. This is a broad overview based on common methods to obtain this IP address:
If you need to update your firmware - including if you wish to use a 'VoIP Only' configuration on Naked ADSL2+ services - please follow the instructions here to download the required formware file, and then return to this guide.
Locate the Firmware Update menu under Advanced then Firmware Update. Click on the Firmware Update button to start the update preparation.

Update preparation takes around 30-60 seconds to erase the flash.

Click Browse, select the firmware file that you downloaded, then Upload.
Note - you will not receive any feedback from the unit after clicking upload until it has finished writing the new firmware to the flash. Do not reboot the unit during this time.

After the new firmware has been written, the unit will reboot itself.

After the unit reboots, you will be returned to the status page. You can now follow Step 4, to enter/confirm your specific settings.

On the bottom of the page, click >> Step 1: Network Selection

Click Proceed to Step 2 (The current default settings are generally suitable).

Enter your NodePhone details:

Simply click Finish

The Save-Reboot process may take a few minutes.

Once the above steps are completed, simply Log off and/or close your browser.
Congratulations! The OPEN Networks 812L connection should automatically connect in a few minutes. You can test the phone service by dialing the numbers listed below:

| 08 7127 1202 | Music (plays 10 Minutes of Radio Paradise) |
| 08 7127 1203 | Call Line ID Presentation Check (reads back your CLID to you, if it's turned on) |
| 08 7127 1204 | Talking Clock (reads back the current time to you) |
You may need to reboot your modem and your OPEN Networks 812L.
