Stage 1: November 2012

On Tuesday 13 November 2012, Internode released a revised set of Easy Reach ADSL2+ broadband plans. These plans are available now, for both new and existing customers. Highlights include:

  • quota is tripled - from 5 GB to 15 GB - on the entry plan;
  • a 50% increase in quota at the former 100 GB price point; and
  • quota is increased and pricing reduced on the top level plan.

Existing Easy Reach Customer Migrations

If You Were on Easy Reach 5…

Customers on the previous Easy Reach 5 plan (at $59.95 per month, or $39.95 with bundling discount in Zone 1) will be automatically changed to the new Easy Reach 15 plan, on the day of the plan release.

  • This is simply a quota boost, from 5 GB to 15 GB per month.
  • There is no change to your monthly rental, roll-over date, customer contract or any of the terms and conditions.

Note that an earlier generation of Easy Reach 5 plans (priced at $49.95 per month, or $39.95 with bundling discount) have not been changed.

  • This is because the price of your plan without the bundling discount will change.
  • If you are on this plan and wish to take advantage of the new Easy Reach 15 plan, simply request an online planchange.

If You Were on Easy Reach 100…

Customers on the previous Easy Reach 100 plan (at $89.95 per month, or $69.95 with bundling discount in Zone 1) will be automatically changed to the new Easy Reach 150 plan, on the day of the plan release.

  • This is simply a quota boost, from 100 GB to 150 GB per month.
  • There is no change to your monthly rental, roll-over date, customer contract or any of the terms and conditions.
  • Existing Easy Reach 100 customers do not need to take any action to receive this benefit.

If You Were on Easy Reach 250…

Customers on the previous Easy Reach 250 plan (at $139.95 per month, or $119.95 with bundling discount in Zone 1) will be automatically changed to an instantly grandfathered Easy Reach 400 plan, on the day of the plan release.

  • This is simply a quota boost, from 250 GB to 400 GB per month.
  • There is no change to your monthly rental, roll-over date, customer contract or any of the terms and conditions.
  • Existing Easy Reach 250 customers do not need to take any action to receive this benefit. You may wish to reduce your costs by changing plan to the new Easy Reach 300 plan, via our online plan change tool.

If You Are On Another Plan…

The new Easy Reach plans are also available to customers on earlier plans such as 256k, 512k, 1500k, Standard, Fast, Plus, and TwoPlus.

These customers - as well as all other Easy Reach customers not listed above - will remain on their existing plans, unless they choose to request a change to one of the new Easy Reach plans.

Stage 2: December 2012

On Thursday 6 December 2012, Internode enabled the $20 per month broadband bundling discount on all current Easy Reach plans in all areas.

  • The broadband bundling discount is available if the phone line associated with your Easy Reach ADSL broadband is an Internode NodeLine phone service.
  • Previously, the broadband bundling discount on Easy Reach plans was only available in 'selected areas' (Zone 1 exchange areas).
  • Now it available on all current Easy Reach ADSL broadband plans, regardless of location.

Read more about how bundling your phone and broadband with Internode can save you money!

If You Are A New Customer…

Sign up for Easy Reach ADSL2+, and:

  • If the associated phone line is an Internode NodeLine, you'll get a $20 per month bundling discount off your broadband.
  • And if it isn't, then simply churn your phone service to NodeLine, and the bundling discount will happen automatically.
  • Or don't, if you prefer not to! You can remain with your current phone service provider and not receive the broadband bundling discount - bundling isn't mandatory!

If You Are On A Current Easy Reach Plan With NodeLine…

This plan improvement will be automatically applied to existing customers on any of the current Easy Reach plans (15, 60, 150, and 300, as well as the recent instantly grandfathered 400), where the associated phone service is already a NodeLine.

If you are on one of these plans and have NodeLine - but are not currently receiving the broadband bundling discount - don't worry. You don't have to do anything, we will be automatically improving your plan and sending you a notification.

  • We'll commence changing these services over to the broadband eligible plans, from Wednesday 12 December.
  • So from your next monthly roll-over date after 12/12/2012, you will automatically receive the broadband bundling discount.

If your monthly roll-over date is between 6/12/2012 & 12/12/2012, you may wish to request an immediate change to one of the bundling eligible Easy Reach plans, via our online plan change tool. Otherwise, you will automatically receive the broadband bundling discount from your January 2012 roll-over date.

If You Are On A Current Easy Reach Plan Without NodeLine…

The plan improvement will also occur automatically, from Wednesday 12 December 2012. It follows exactly the same process as described above.

However you will not receive the broadband bundling discount unless you also decided to move the phone line associated with your Easy Reach broadband service to NodeLine.

  • If you choose to move the phone service to NodeLine, then on your next monthly roll-over date after changing to NodeLine, you will be eligible for the $20 per month broadband bundling discount.
  • It's simple to churn your phone to NodeLine - there's no downtime, no change to the way you use your phone, no change of number, and no changeover cost!

But if you'd rather stay with your current phone provider, that's fine too. There won't be any change to your current monthly broadband price - we're simply making the option of our broadband bundling discount available to you.

If You Are On Any Other Plan…

Nothing will happen at all - we aren't making any changes to any of the 'grandfathered' broadband plans.

  • If you would like to enjoy the value of our new Easy Reach plans, then you can simply request an online plan change.
  • And then simply bring the associated phone across to NodeLine for the $20 bundling discount.
